Do not let failure crush you. Rembrandt had no luck. Success comes from failure.
It’s basically all about not giving up. Drawing, painting, sculpting or the creation of anything should come from the heart, from our will of wanting to create something, purely to make ourselves and perhaps the world a happier place. This is a great hobby and it’s a good activity on so many levels that as long as you are happy and feel it fulfils you as a person, you shouldn’t give up on it.
Failure is all too subjective. Famous painters such as Rembrandt and dozens of others were painting to express themselves. Painting did not make them rich, in fact most artist becomes rich posthumous. This may be unfortunate but on the other hand, their work keeps on living and keeps their memory alive for centuries. And what can be better than that?
