Find your watercolor paper
There are many ups and downs of painting with watercolor. First of all we all know some things about painting with watercolor as we had to use that for painting in elementary school. With this most of us know that watercolor is easy to get overdosed with water, which will also make its colors way weaker. We also learned that due to all the water, normal paper will easily get wrinkled, which has the tendency to ruin the whole composition.
Luckily, it doesn’t have to be this way. There are all sorts of watercolor papers out there, which were made specifically for those preferring to paint with water color. This way these papers are more resistant to water as well. Choose your paper and go for a mid-priced range, so that you don’t end up spending way too much on paper only. Right after that, look around among all the watercolors available. The likes of tempera are stronger and they are more like classic oil paint, while normal watercolor is has its own style of painting called aquarelle.
