Observe and review before brushing
The good thing in painting and drawing is all the similarities and the differences in between the two. This also means a different approach to correcting the mistakes you make, which are inevitable and this way absolutely natural.
Let’s get to talk about painting this time around. When painting you will also work from a sketch. This sketch is generally drawn on the canvas or on a paper which you can then hold right next to the canvas to observe it and learn from all the mistakes you make, which are there, in order for you to be able to apply everything more correctly.
Painting has multiple phases and a definite order of doing things, in order for the painting to actually stay on the canvas. This requires some exercising. Therefore take painting step by step and don’t try to hurry with it. It will require you to have a more extensive knowledge then for drawing but in the end it’s all worth learning.
